About Young Apprenticeships
Are you in years 10 or 11?
Are you a motivated and able young person who enjoys practical hands on learning?
Do you have an interest in a particular sector of industry?
If the answer to any of those is YES, then a Young Apprenticeship may be for you!
How do you learn?
Young Apprentices spend two days a week combining study in school with extended work experience with an employer, training company, or college.
The other three days of the week are spent in school studying other GCSEs.
What do you gain?
You benefit from hands on and specialised learning, and gain lots of practical skills which will help you in the workplace. You also acquire applied qualifications which are equivalent to A*-C GCSEs.
What can I do afterwards?
If you complete the programme, you may be able to move more quickly towards a full-time Apprenticeship in your chosen area. However, you could also decide to stay on in full-time education, either at school or college
