Family Information Services (FIS) is a service to help provide you with information when raising a child. It gives you information ranging from before your child is born to when your child is leaving school. It also hosts a directory of services in the local area to help you with certain issues. Family Information Directory: A directory of local and national services that support families.
Becoming a parent: Support, information and advice on pregnancy and becoming a parent. This includes contraception advice, registering the birth, adoption and fostering and beyond.
Support for parents with children aged 0 to 4 years old: Advice and information on a range of issues including choosing childcare and support with costs. Also includes information on Children's Centres.
Support for parents with children aged 4 to 11 years old: Information and advice on a range of topics such as returning to work, childcare and keeping children safe.
Support for parents with children aged 11 to 16 years old: Information and advice on a range of topics including starting High school.
Support for parents of young people aged 16 and over: Information on a range of topics including leaving school, work, leisure and safety.
Special needs and disabilities: Advice and help for parents who have children with special needs or a disability.
