Apprenticeships
The Government wants to see lots more young people applying for Apprenticeships, and wants to make sure you get really good quality training in a range of areas.
What's the idea?
The National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) was set up in April. This service helps deliver Apprenticeships working with your course providers and local employers.
Services for young people will ensure that you’ll be able to get help and advice when finding the right apprenticeship for you, as well as making sure you know everything there is to know about the Apprenticeship itself.
The NAS will also work to strengthen the Apprenticeship experience FOR YOU
! From the 1st October 2011 the new national minimum wage for apprentices is £2.60 per hour. Therefore of an apprentice works more than 30 hours per week, they will be entitled to a pay increase. Apprentices wage for 37.5 hours worked will increase from £95 per week to £97.50 per week.
How will this work?
The Vacancy Matching Service helps you to better understand Apprenticeships and search live Apprenticeship vacancies. Employers and course providers advertise their vacancies.
