Guidelines

Autumn Term

  • Use a career guidance program to gather job ideas (e.g. kudos, pathfinder)
  • Access courses available in Herefordshire via the 14-19 section of the youthZone website
  • Look at all your options and get financial advice if needed
  • Choose your first choice and a back up choice
  • Start looking at applying for courses

Spring Term

  • Attend your schools options/careers evenings
  • Attend Herefordshire college open evenings
  • Start applying to colleges/sixth forms
  • Send letters/CV’s to employers if looking for work experience

Summer Term

  • Carry on with your applications for course and work experience
  • Speak to your careers advisor within your school to discuss actions you have taken
  • Fill out an action plan so you can monitor where you are in your application processes
