myherefordshire.com is a county-wide community portal focused on
serving communities by bringing together the information they want
in a trusted environment. The public services emphasis for the
portal is key to building the relationship with people living in,
working with and visiting communities in Herefordshire. The portal
has been gradually building those relationships, and developing in
response to feedback from them, since it entered the public domain
at the end of March 2006.
myherefordshire.com was officially launched on the 20th June
2007 at the Left Bank Villlage in Hereford. The launch brought
together stakeholders and public to publicise the successes so far
and encourage further innovation and take-up, for example around
the event and search feeds that are available for other websites or
through mobile devices.

about the launch
The following year will see post-launch publicity engaging the
public though road shows at community venues, and targeting
specific communities of interest such as website owners, event
organisers, photographers and Herefordshire Partnership content
owners.
Herefordshire Matters is a publication which goes to 80,000
households in Herefordshire and is a particularly good vehicle for
county-wide publicity so there will be regular articles detailing
new feature sand functionality on the site. We also intend to run
digital photography competitions for Jessops vouchers and also a
competition to encourage the takeup of the event and search feeds
so keep your eyes open and if you have any comments or feedback,
please get in
touch.
